On July 24-26 FinTech Hackathon took place in Imaguru Business-Club in Minsk. SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES was a partner of the event together with Priorbank, Visa, USAID and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
24 teams of programmers, mathematicians, financial analysts were struggling to solve FinTech issues and to create their own IT-products within 48 hours. During the time of FinTech Hackathon Imaguru Business-Club became for participants a real home, where they could spend a night, have a meal and take rest before going down to business. At the time of debates and product development the participants were also involved in masterclasses from specialists in FinTech and Innovation fields.
There were mentors participating in hackathon, who assisted teams, gave them advise and hints for ideas’ improvement.
Sergey Kravchenko, Executive Director, and Alexander Ermakovich, Deputy Director General, performed as mentors from SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES.
For the short time of just 2 days the participants of Hackathon managed to present and implement a lot of ideas even the most challenging ones. Among the projects was a payment-with-voice service, e-invoicing system, children credit cards control service and many others.
Following the results of Hackathon the project called FinPlace has won the Gran-Prix (participation in international startup-conference Slush in Helsinki) from the general partner of the event – Priorbank. The team developed a personal financial manager with the bank SMS scanning and recognition function.
